Age Action Ireland

Does anyone have any experience to share about Age Action Ireland, an advocacy education and advice service for older citizens?

From their website:

"Age Action is Ireland's leading advocacy organisation for older people and ageing. As well as informing and influencing policy we provide practical programmes to support older people to age in place and combat digital exclusion through our Care and Repair, Getting Started and Information Service. "

Not really sure what you're looking for, but my late mother dealt with them a few times and found them good for giving her advice and assistance with certain household/utility issues that she had in later life. In fact, she took out membership because she was so happy with the assistance that she received.

A friend of my mother's contacts them regularly for advice and recommends them highly also.

If I recall correctly it was Age Action Ireland which delayed the introduction of the Fair Deal scheme by a year costing my mother in law thousands, so not a fan.
