Hi Folks,
My brother got the 3 month free Broadband trial from ESAT BT. He decided not to keep it but he is having serious difficuly reconfiguring the system back to the old 56K dial-up modem. When he clicks on Internet Explorer it opens the main page and the dial-up dialogue box but it just makes a click noise and doesn't dial up. Does anyone have a set of configuration settings for Internet explorere.

Cheers!

Does the original dial-up networking connection not still exist in Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet Connections -> Network Connections (or something similar on non XP systems)? If it does and it is enabled then in Internet Explorer go to Tools -> Internet Options... -> Connections and set the dial-up modem network connection as the default. If the connection is not present then you will need the ISP details (e.g. phone number, account id etc.) to set if back up manually. Perhaps the esatBT website has the required details?

By 'it' do you mean the modem? Is the modem plugged in to the phone socket (if not you'll hear a click from the relay as it tries to pick up the line)?
