Advice needed to connect desktop/laptop to a TV

Hello,

I've recently moved into a new house which has an existing JVC 28" Flat-Panel TV.

This TV has 3 Scart connections at the back of the TV. I was just wondering if it's possible to connect my desktop/laptop to this TV through the Scart connection and if so is the quality/sound ok?

What do I need if it's possible?

if you're looking to watch movies etc from your laptop, consider an Xbox or PS3. you can share your computer's media to them over wireless and watch the Xbox or PS3 on the TV. This save you reconnecting your laptop to the TV all the time... PS3 is also a Blueray, so bonus there
