Advice for best mobile for calls and synch with outlook calendar

Have been using a SonyEricsson p90 for the last few years and the only thing wrong with it is its size.

Want to change to something slimmer and less cumbersome.

Main useage is for calls and sync with outlook diary on PC. No driving need for wifi but email being copied to cellphone would be a small plus.

Just not sure what option is best and the people I have spoken to in various shops seem less than informed

Suggestions and guidance welcome

I have a Nokia 9300i, I think it is brilliant esecially for calander synchronisation with Outlook on my desktop and sending and receiving emails.

It's definitely not slim though.
