I have been prompted to download the above on a few occasions when I want to do something on the internet (like play games)

its telling me to click on a link to download it which I have, a box appears saying that the download has been successful & to reboot which I have done a few times now yet when I go back to what I wanted to do like listen to live radio etc its tells me again to install Adobe 9.

Does anyone have this problem, am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

I bet it's this one

To change your security level:
  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Select Custom Level.
  5. Find the section "ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
  6. Set ' Download Signed ActiveX Controls' to Prompt.
  7. Set 'Run ActiveX Controls And Plug-ins' to Prompt.
If you are having trouble installing, make sure that your Internet Explorer security level is not set to High or to a custom level that does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.

I presume you mean the free Adobe Acrobat reader? This started causing me no end of problems on various machines since version 8/9 so I ditched it and use the free and much more lightweight Foxit software instead.

Thanks Davidoco,

I tried your suggestion but it didn't work. I'll have a look at the website, I might find another option.

Thanks again
