Additional cardholder question

I am an extra cardholder on my dads mastercard account with BOI. Now our 2 cards have the excat same details apart from the names. Same card number exp date and CC2 number. IS this normal practice or a mess up on the banks part?

How can they tell my transactions apart from his?

The card number is the same, because it is the same credit card account. The transactions are not listed seperately, there is only one bill. DH and I have the same credit card, and we only get the one bill. HTH

Agreed on same bill etc. I thought they could it nessasary tell you which card was used for what transaction?

Maybe they can, we never asked as DH is obsessive about keeping reciepts! We only use it a few times a month, so we know each transaction. Why do you you want to know what card was used?
