Hi there!
My mother wants to purchase an apartment in Budapest and, as she's 64 years old, she is looking into putting me on one of the deeds of her properties (she owns 3, valued about 1 million) so that we can remortgage together. I'm renting one of these properties from her at the moment and would not be in position to buy this from her. She has small mortgages on 2 of the properties.
The issue came up as I was going to look into shared ownership as I've two kids and would like to own my own property sometime.
Does anyone know, if this arrangement is possible? Is Budapest a good investment? Would I still qualify for shared ownership, if I put my name down on a property with her?
