Acer laptop offer in Tesco

Has anyone purchased one of these before? They were advertised in yesterdays Sunday Independent for €499. Thinking of getting one but not an IT expert. Anyone able to advise?

One issue that comes to mind is that a laptop costing €499 would hardly be capable of running Windows Vista?

Thats a good thing. Run XP instead.

Just check the spec thats its comparable to other "deals"

Windows vista is included in the package. It's one of the 2 below, I don't have the ad with me at the moment.

I just want it for doing some college work, save my photos, music etc, internet use, nothing too major... I don't play computer games or anything like that.
