I only ever pay what my accountants tell me to pay. Hence my surprise.

Are you sure you're not on their PITA list?Of course not.
But, it is their fault if they've told me the incorrect amount to pay.

There's never any profit in blame games.Well he has already paid his bill for the 2016 accounts, work presumably done in 2017. Things must be good for accountants if that type of client is on the PITA list.
