Accountant Tasks

Hey, Im currently Studieng accountancy however my current job is not giving me enough experiense to use the skills i am learning in class.

Can anyone advise the best type of place to go looking for a job?

I have been searching online and a lot of jobs seem to have invoicing and other administrative tasks involved? Am i wrong to think i should try and get a job thats all about preperation of accounts?

Should i go for industry or practice?

Or is there a board i might find out a bit more about it?

You should apply for vacancies for part-qualified accountants. The Accountancy section in the Evening Herald/Irish Independent/Irish Times should have some.

Some small companies need bookkeepers to prepare monthly accounts (P&L and Balance sheet) from scratch but this would also involve invoicing and day to day entries as well.

Why not join an agency and tell them exactly what you're looking for.

you could also consider joining a volunatry organistion and get experience that way. most volunatary organisstions would love to have someone with your skills on board. you get to help them and yourself at the same time, employers love to see people with voluntary experience under thier belt
