Hi friends,

I have completed QFA(waiting for result)...in the anticipation of getting a job in Ireland.

I have more than 4 years of experience in financial service sector (out side EU).

I am a non EU but eligible to work in Ireland.

Is it too tough to get a job for QFAs?

To be honest - not much.

I have done the QFA and have little or no regard for it's academic credentials. It's license to sell financial products in Ireland. I emphasis sell, because unfortunately, most financial services based roles these days are heavily burdened with sales targets and commission based wage structures.

And of course, with the current financial crisis hitting these service providers and salesmen more than anyone else, it's near to impossible to find work. Unless you decide to sell pensions and life insurance products.

Well done on qualifying but the QFA isn't all that.

Maybe look at the CFA?
