Hi,

im a FTB and completely green to all this. ive put a booking deposit on a house (the showhouse) am i within my rights to ask can i view it one more time before signing?

Re: A second viewing b4 signing contrats?

I am no expert, but IMHO, Of course yes!

Last summer I viewed this one particular house about five times, and it turned to have some serious problems with the structure! I pulled out before signing the contract.

yes you are perfectly entitled to see it as many times as you like.
Its prob the biggest purchase you will make,

I viewed my house 3 times before signing contracts

If you're uncomfortable about asking just tell them you want to show it to your friends/family.

I couldn't imagine you'd have any problem. i would say its vital to have a second viewing. Its amazing how your mind can play tricks when you are trying to remember a house. I remember going back to have second views on one or two houses and being quite shocked at how different they were to how i remembered them - particularly in relation to outdoor space because its something you don't concentrate on so much the first time. In one place the garden was half the size i had remembered it as being after i had in my head designed the patio, the shed at the bottom with a walkway down to it etc.... got a little carried away in my dreaming.....

In fact I would say it's a great idea to get other people to look around it with you as they will see things that you don't. You can then decide to listen or ignore them!

Hi FlooZee,

Are you buying the actual show house? if not bear in mind that it is just an indication of the house you will be buying so make sure you get plans of the actual house you are buying and written details of the finish etc.

Either way you should have a second look.
