Hi,
I have read through lots of threads on this site and am still somewhat confused about the best option for me.

Briefly, I have a lump sum of €7k to invest/save for a rainy day. I will not be adding to this and don't necessarily need access to it over the next 2-5 years. I'm not big on risk though, so something secure would suit me best.

I also have another lump sum of €2k which I add €50 to every month and intend to keep doing so (this is for my child). I am looking for the best savings account for this also.

I would appreciate any advice you can give. Both amounts are sitting in regular accounts earning very little interest at the mo.

Thanks a mil!!!

What about...

€7K or €7K + €2K with FA eSavings at 5.22%.

Regular savings in a c. 7% high rate regular saver account or maybe a low charges unit linked fund if your investment timeframe is long term?

See the Financial Best Buys forum for details of the best demand and term lump sum and regular saver deposit accounts/rates on offer.
