VHI 75 yr old on VHI Co Plan Plus L1.2 Renewal end Jan 14.

Hi,

My mum is on this plan but the renewal has come in at €1,260 so I'm looking for an alternative.

She has a medical card so GP day to day is not needed, though she tends to have a few consultant visits per year.

Are there similar policies with other providers for less than €1,000? Renewal date is at the end of Jan.

Thanks - I had tried the HIA site but got too many plans returned to compare.

I just had a look at the Laya site and the Flex 125 Explore was suggested. It looks as good as, if not better than, the VHI plan on the HIA comparison at a much better price. Just wondering if I'm missing anything.

Looks like its really the excesses are the differences so if a higher excess is ok, looks fine. Im never really comfortable with excess myself cos they can be impossible to get rid of them!
