Why would they do that? They can leave all that here but just move their headquarters to another country in which they also have significant infrastructure. The USA where they are really headquartered, for example.
They would if the they were forced to by the US Government. Why would they do that?
The tax rate in the US isn’t going below the Irish rate.
If your aunt had balls she’d be your uncle. That’s not going to happen in this globalised world we live in.They would if the they were forced to by the US Government.
Not anymoreIf your aunt had balls she’d be your uncle.
I think it's unlikely (the former rather than the latter) but it's still possible. That's a serious amount of eggs in one basket. The next (Trump) government will be far more isolationist than this one. That’s not going to happen in this globalised world we live in.
Aliens might also fly down and order them to move.
Anything is possible, but let’s be a little more ‘glass is half full’. Our ‘basket’ is some of the biggest, most successful companies in the world. And they’re growing, rather than shrinking! The associated tax take is expected to increase rather than decrease. Not anymore

As long as it's not half full of your auntie's balls...Anything is possible, but let’s be a little more ‘glass is half full’.
Agreed! Its about risk probability. If your aunt had balls she’d be your uncle. That’s not going to happen in this globalised world we live in.

Our biggest risk is our politicians. Look at the Dublin Airport passenger cap fiasco !Agreed! Its about risk probability.
Our biggest risk is our archaic infrastructure.
That's not down to our national politicians. Our biggest risk is our politicians. Look at the Dublin Airport passenger cap fiasco !
That reminds me about that great line about averages and how they can be misleading; The average person has one breast and one testicle. As long as it's not half full of your auntie's balls...
And less than 2 legsThat reminds me about that great line about averages and how they can be misleading; The average person has one breast and one testicle.
Those companies have proposed to build the infrastructure themselves. Our biggest risk is our archaic infrastructure.
Slightly more than one breast and slightly less than one testicle. That reminds me about that great line about averages and how they can be misleading; The average person has one breast and one testicle.
