6k to invest - ?

I've some cash spare at the moment 6k and instead of it sitting in a current account I'm wondering what the best thing to do with it is.

Rabo direct seem to be the best place to stick your savings, but is there a risk involved, any help appreciated.

Impossible to say without more information about your overall situation. See the Money Makeover forum and the key posts for the sort of thing that I mean. If you have any debts then it might make more sense to use the money to reduce/clear these first.
