Both myself and my wife have the above policy. It is coming in at €1003.59 each for renewal on November 1st.

Do any of the other providers have a cheaper alternative or is there a policy within Laya that is comparable?

Any suggestions or advice appreciated.

Laramie,

The plan you are on at present, has no hospital excess. It is also the cheapest plan with no inpatient (hospital) excess on the market at the moment.

The only alternative cheaper plans, are those with an excess of €125 or €100, which would be payable on every admission to a private or hi-tech hospital.
This excess amount does not apply to any public hospital admissions.

If a person is inclined to use a private or hi-tech hospital and has ongoing health issues, a plan with no hospital excess is usually recommended.

What difference will Min Noonan's "GoldPlate" tax relief treshold make to this plan? I reckon it will add about €120.
