So due for renewal on 01/12/2013
Currently have 2A + 2C on Laya Essential plus (Excess) renewal quote €3828.14
Spoke to a VHI rep today as my employer has an arrangement with VHI and asked for a recommendation for a good value plan at a similar level to the current one. She recommended One Plan family with a special half price kid’s offer and quoted €2274.5 for the 2A & 2C.
This level of price reduction seemed too good to be true so i did a comparison on the hia.ie website and to me the one plan family seems to provide a much lower level of hospital cover, or maybe i just don’t understand the comparison criteria?
We are based in Dublin and have no current medical needs/costs just the occasional GP's visit, my priority is to have good cover in the private and hi-tech hospitals just in case. Would anyone be able to shed some light on this, what would be a good plan for us that might offer some savings on the Essential plus plan which has increased by about €800 since last year.
