2011 ROS Offline not calculating Prelim tax

Anyone notice that ros offline is not calculating the preliminary tax liability this year? Anyone know the reasons why or is this a problem on my end?

Also, out of curiosity, what are peoples preferences when submitting form 11's - Ros offline or Ros online. I'm saying with ROS offline for the moment, dont really understand the advantage of ROS online as you need a digital cert installed locally on your pc anyway?

I think the reason it calculated prelim tax last year was the USC introduction. That meant you couldn't just use the liability from the previous year.

I noticed the lack of calculation of the prelim tax also and had the same question. Does everyone agree with Gervan? or are there other opinions on why this was present last year but not this?

I agree with Gervan, and more importantly, so do Revenue...

The software doesn't need to calculate prelim tax for you in the 2011 form, unless you don't know your 1 times tables!

Thanks for the reply, the inclusion of the prelim tax in 2010 was good to have as it showed the prelim liability on the F11 which made it easier to explain to the client.
