What is the lenght and cost of a full roll of 2.5 T&E Cable?

I need to do a few electrical jobs around the house and think it might be more economical to buy a full roll instead of guessing what I'll need and buying by the meter.
 
Get a quote off Ebay, bought TV cable there today which was much cheaper than anything I was quoted for around here and its delivered to the door.
 
Just a point of caution wrt cheap cable. I know an electrician who recently sourced cable for a domestic build from a "budget" retailer & alot of the sheathing around the cores actually melted. Be wary of very cheap cable.
 
Thanks for the replies, some were going slightly off topic - I'm not looking for cheap cable, I have no difficulty buying the standard T&E cable, so back on topic please.

What is the length and cost of 2.5 T&E cable?
 
100 metres Last i paid was €57.. thats few months back. Price changes everyday cos of copper used.
 
That was my first thoughts Mr Tayto, but he's a RECI certified Spark & should know how to size cable. Reckon it was just manufactured in a very cheap location & qaulity wasn't up to it. I know Pee thinks this may be off-topic but I think its relevant to the original question regarding price. 100m of 2.5 available at €45/roll isn't necessarily the same thing as 100m available at €60.
