150k between AIB and ark life - covered by state guarantee?

Hi
If I have 75k savings on deposit in AIB and another 75k in an equity fund policy with Ark Life via AIB, are both counted separately for the 100k state deposit guarantee? or is the Ark Life policy even guaranteed in the first place?

I would imagine that any equity fund investment would not be considered as a deposit and so wouldn't be covered by the DGS.
