I know this tax is due by the 30th September and I want to make sure we pay it in full but I'm not sure how much we have to pay as between us, we own 3 properties.

House 1: is in my name only and some family members live in it. It's not rented.
House 2: is owned by my husband and is rented to tenants.
House 3: is a holiday home and is owned by us jointly.

We live with my mother-in-law, in her house.

I'd appreciate your advice.

Not 100% on this, but your own home you pay nothing, and your other 2 accomodations you pay for the 2 of them

My understanding is as you and husband live in your mother in law’s house, then your house, his house and your joint holiday home are all ‘’non principal private residences’’ and as such all three are liable for the €200 NPPR charge.

From what you're saying is, my mother-in-law's house is deemed to be our PPR so it seems we're liable for the tax on all 3 houses. Thanks for your replies. This is a brilliant informative site.
