€100,000 Guarantee

I am thinking about saving with KBC and Investec but am just not sure or knowledgeable about eirther and am currently trying to educate myself.

If I was to invest for example €100K in a KBC 12 mth fixed deposit a/c and another €100K in KBC 14mth fixed a/c would I be guaranteed for the whole €200K or just €100K. Essentially is this government guarantee per person or per account. The same question applies to Investec or any other bank.

I appreciate any advice.

It is per institution so you are correct in diversifying.
