ordered product online at the wrong price

Ive just ordered a laptop online from an irish based company.
The cost of the laptop was 970 euro + 25 for delivery.
Ive ordered it and retrieved my confirmation email.
Now i got a reply saying that the price quoted was ex vat and there was a problem with the website not displaying the correct price inclusive of vat.

They offered be the laptop with 50 euro off the new price for the inconvienence caused.

My question is am i entitled to the price i ordered it at?

My understanding is that if the reply you received was simply an order confirmation and not an invoice etc.., then the computer company does not legally have to honour the orignal price, they are covered for errors and omission on their website. You still have the right of course to cancel the order.

did they charge your cc yet ?

No my Card was not charged yet.
