Hi

I am wondering if anybody has used Bathroom Creations and would you recommend them.

They have verbally quoted 10k for an average bathroom refurb to a typical 3bed semi.

Please let me know your thoughts

I filled their online form on Wednesday regarding the location of the salesrooms. They phoned to say they don't have any as such, they design and fit but have a couple of places where they source their materials.

Anyway, she did say that the average bathroom costs 9-10k, which is much more than I'd expected.

If you use the search factility you'll find a post from a user who recommends them.

Also, they get a 5-out-of-5 review here on homewise:
http://www.homewise.ie/supplier/Dublin/BathroomCreationsLtd/51992/
It's only one review, but a glowing one.

I'm planning on replacing my bathroom this month but am only going with those that install as well as supply.
Am hitting a number of the places that rank high on this site, and places that have January sales, tomorrow.

I'm hoping for something in the 4-6k range for my tiny bathroom.

Hey Gautama,

I`m looking to do the same as well. Spoke to them aswell, 9-10K is a lot for a bathroom. The lady said that it would last you 15-20 years although curiously they only give a one year guarantee.

If you find any places doing good deals on bathrooms please let me know I would really appreciate it.

With thanks

Got my main and ensuite refitted by these guys in October. Cost €15k for the two and much as I hate to admit it, well worth every cent. The standard of work is excellent and level of service is very good. Both bathrooms are like something out of a lifestyle magazine. The original cost was higher but we negotiated and also changed a few things to reduce it down. PM me if want more details.

I have no connection with Bathroom Creations.

Standard prices for the most basic are as follows:
Bath 500-800
Washbasin 200
Toilet 400
Add extra for everything, ie taps, shower screens, panels, etc.

I mainly focused on the bath, the rest should fall into place around this.
Going for a shower/bath, P shaped.
€1,350 for the bath, screen, taps, panels.

I've made my mind up, based on what I've seen, what I've heard, how much it costs, the fact that there is an installation service, and the good vibe I got from the salesman.
PM me if you need the details.

... that's the bathrooms.

As for electric showers, Which magazine reviewed 19 models last year, across 11 makers.
Top of the pile was the Mira Sport 9.8k, available from Argos for €360 and from UK online retailers from £170 to £230.

Great post Gautama! Could you pm me details of who you went with? Bathroom Creations are paying me a visit this week but I don't think I want to cough up 10k for 1.7m x 2.3m bathroom!

I decided not to run with bathroom creations. Prices ended out being ridiculous and the products were not what i would consider high end. They have a good sales pitch but in my opinion the premium you end up paying out ways the benefit of not having the hassle of organising it by direct labour yourself. They also just send you to other companies showrooms too much leg work for what is supposed to be a one stop shop.

I assume all of you are addressing any storage tank problems before fitting any new showers I suggest you goolge legionnaires disease

If you have a good eye for design (or know someone who does) it's better to design and contract people separately. We had a tiny and I mean tiny bathroom in our last house. Bathroom Creations quoted me 7k for the job. I hired a plumber, electrician and tiler myself, bought the tiles, shower, bath, sink, taps and the whole lost cost me 2.5k and I have to say it was no hassle at all. Good tradesmen and good suppliers are the key so if you are willing to research and get design advice then you can save yourself a lot of money.

Everything for €2,500? The cheapest tub I saw was €600, and I mean cheap, B&Q cheap, ie quality as well as price.
How much was your tub? What part of the country?

Design's easy with a small bathroom anyway, especially given that sandy an beigh tiles are in and the aquamarines are out. The former are really set off by a few plants.

I did get that vibe when I heard they'd no show room.
Plus, their website really emphasises the whole "online design" thing. This may dazzle your parents but these things tend to be limited.

that is crazy money for a bathroom of your size.... my parents recenthly done their bathroom..whirlpool bath, new sink, taps, toilet and tiled floor to ceiling and fitted for less than €5k from the tile and bathroom place in naas...

that is crazy money ...

Quality is another factor, unknown in this case.

a bathroom of your size....

I've come to the conclusion that a small bathroom costs much the same as a large bathroom. They both will have a toilet, washbasin, bath, taps, electric shower, towel rail, mirror, screen, downlighter, floor tiles and wall tiles.
The only thing that increases the price of the latter is the extra tiling.

Hi Guatama,

I know this thread is from time ago, but did you ever get this work carried out? if so who did you use for the installation etc?

thanks
