NTL phone line.

Has anyone else received a call from NTL offering phone line?

Can't see anything on their website and not interested in ringing them to be left holding for an age so just wondering if anyone else here has info? Him indoors took call (while match on telly) so needless to say no info to be gained there

When they originally provided phone service in bundle with broadband and telly the whole thing was a disaster. New numbers had to be taken and neighbours had terrible problems. NTL eventually withdrew the tel service side of things. Presumably because they have tied up with Chorus now they are trying to reintroduce the tel end of things?

Only ever heard sporadic reports late last year. There were notions that it might be a "voice over IP" offering where the service would be provided over a broadband internet connection (over your TV cable).
