Could anybody suggest somewhere reasonable to stay in Glasgow?
Not too fussy could be B&B or a good hotel as long as it's good value for money.

THanks

Re: Glasgow

The missus organised a hen party there during the summer and they stayed in Bewleys. Pretty central. €85 a night.

Re: Glasgow

There are two holiday Inns in Glasgow which are round the 50 quid a night per room.

Re: Glasgow

If you are in Dublin go to the UK tourist board in College Green.
They will give you details of any special deals they currently have from the Hotels and B+B's over there.
Not sure if they will book it for you or not.

Scotland is lovely, but Glasgow is the worst bit of it.
If you want a city to sightsee, try Edinburgh instead.

Nothing against Glasgow, but the Celtic element has lowered the tone of the place. Tis rough.

Rennie McIntosh museum/house. It is out near the university towards the Kelvin Hall.Underground I found was the easiest way to get there, but I was only a tourist...

Pubs

I would recommend The Counting House. Wetherspoons have great offers each night. The food is excellent & not too dear. There are loads of other pubs, but I was too drunk to remember their names. The only other place I can remember is the Horseshoe Bar(It was down a little side street/lane). Full of scots rather than tourists.
One place I would not recommend is TGI Friday's overrated & overpriced
