Anglo Even dropping rates in the U.K.

I have just opened a Regular Annual Sever Account, Logged my first 1000. got an e-mail to day to say rate dropped from 6.50 to 5.50. Bummer or what? Just my luck

They are only paying market rates for 1 year- called them yesterday for a rate on 96k and all I was getting was 1.60%, they were plugging their 2 year fixed account at me!

Does that still leave them as the best rate for on demand accounts?

Yes, for amounts under 100,000 EUR.

Nationwide UK Ireland have the best rate for amounts from 100,000 EUR to 2,000,000 EUR.
