Household Benefit

I am 66 and retired with a pension from the HSE of €36K.

I am in receipt of a deserted wifes benefit for over 20 years and have a medical card.

Am I entitled to get the Household Benifit and if so how do I go about it?

As you are in receipt of deserted wives ben. and age 66 you should qualify.

You can pick up an application form at your local SW or citizens information office or download it from welfare.ie

You may also be entitled to a living alone allowance (provided you live alone), and don't forget Free Travel if you have not already received your travel pass. Travel Pass for Northern Ireland is a seperate application
