AIB Aib ex staff - getting €1,650 compensation

@Mildred No-They included staff members who moved to a fixed rate for a period of time. I.e my scenario is: Jan 2009 moved from Staff rate "en-masse". I decided to fix in April 2010 for a period of 24 months. I have been deemed impacted from 2012 when I rolled from the fixed rate and received...

Hi Brendan, yes letter dated the 20/12/2018 with cheque of €1,615 attached and brochure outlining that rates throughout the years and stating due to the rates there was no financial detriment to me. :(

AIB Was on 0.9%, now AIB restoring it at 3.67%

@Brendan Burgess, I have been added to the cohort of €1615 although I held a tracker of margin ECB+.9% previously. I did not drawdown on a tracker. I only received the notification from AIB in late December 2018. I contacted them to confirm their statement that anybody in this cohort never held...

AIB AIB's adverts said that the tracker rate was set at the beginning of the mortgage!

@verywhys I'm just looking to see what they said about trackers leading into the September /October on the site before they withdrew trackers in 2008.

AIB AIB's adverts said that the tracker rate was set at the beginning of the mortgage!

@verywhys. I have been on the site but it only brings up the archived home page. Is there any specific search you used to pull up the mortgage page?

@verywhys This is great information. Thank you, Can I ask how one can get this information for AIB's old internet links like above. Is there a screenshot for September/October 2008 before they pulled the tracker?

AIB Where is AIB getting the prevailing rates from?

I think AIB s costs of funding are detailed in their published set of accounts each year. Each set of accounts is about 300 pages long. As AIB is a PLC accounts should be available on request for all t he years or you should be able to get them on the internet.

AIB AIB 3.67% customers to get €1000 each

I know of 2 people to date who actually held a tracker rate of ECB+.6 & ECB+.9% margin before they fixed but did not drawdown on a tracker initially. They fixed just before AIB withdrew the tracker rate. AIB has now since enkoved the 3.2 clause to their favour in the contracts and offered a rate...

    Ulster UB staff/ex staff

Hi All, it's the larger portion @ the €190,460 that I am fighting with them about too. I have a TKR on the smaller portion. I also had a TKR associated to the 190K portion also before I switched back to 3% fixed then in Jan'09 they automatically transferred us over to an SVR in January 2009...

AIB AIB 3.67% customers to get €1000 each

My view on it is the prevailing rate is the ecb rate which continually fluctuates. I.e @ 0% now. The margin is a completely separate matter. AIB are trying to mask the margin element as the prevailing ecb rate.

AIB Was on 0.9%, now AIB restoring it at 3.67%

AIB AIB restoring my tracker - but at 3.67%!

@jpbyrne Balfour posted a link to the oireachtas above where the committee challenged Mr Byrne on the Bank on the offering of the 3.67% prevailing rate being offered. in the midst of this conversation Mr Byrne stated that people who had a ECB rate previously would get that rate. It is worth...

AIB Aib ex staff - getting €1,650 compensation

So I became a little bit more pro-active about things over the coming days. I have reviewed my mortgage contract and contacted AIB. My story is the Following: 1. Drewdown on a staff Preferential fixed rate of 3% 2. Moved onto a ECB tracker 3. Moved back to 3% Staff Preferential Fixed rate of 3%...

AIB Aib ex staff - getting €1,650 compensation

Yea I am the same as Rarrrrr. They apparently issued a letter on the 16th January 2009. I have a copy of it but I am unable to attach to this thread for people to see. If someone tells me how to attach it i'll do it straight away. It does not offer the option of a tracker or does not state that...
