    Did you claim for subsidence under your Aviva policy at the time? If so check what the amount for claim was and could you afford to pay that next year if you had no subsidence cover? also how many years of premium savings would it take to cover that subsidence claim? 5. 10. 15??

    I'd query what are "Outlays" €175 & what are "Office Outlays €150". Puch for the €175 to be taken out to reduce to €1,336.

    This was rented firsttime in 2017 privately unless a tenant has applied for HAP in the meantime?? Its in fingal area so maybe they're ramping up random inspections.

    I wouldn't worry about it, council are now inspecting properties & you get 6 weeks to make any amendments. Friend in work needs to install carbon monoxide alarm, fire blanket, window restrictors & has 6 weeks to complete.

    Are you sure theres no breakage fee?? I fixed with UB on 2 yr fixed and in the documents they said the break fee was over €3k

    If you sell for €162k, you are not making a profit, therefore the council gets Zero. You pay the o/s mortage, solicitor fees etc with the sale and keep whatever is left over.

    Here's mine from recent switch: Searches €100 Land reg fee on Mortgage €175 Land reg fee on Copy folio €40 Bank fee to take up deeds €38 Commisioner fees €22 Courier €15 Total €390

    So last May I switched from Ulster Bank 3.2% loyalty to rate to 1 year Fixed 3% BOI with 2% Cashback. Back in Feb/March '19 I started the process to switch back to Ulster Bank with 2 yr fixed 2.3%. I knew from last year that it could be 2/3 months to switch so I wanted to have everything ready...

    I think the days of multiple quick switches are over, but you can fix for 1 year, then move the following year. The trick is getting your timing right so you don't get caught on the high variable rate, once your fixed rate expires. I started 2nd switch in Feb and now just waiting to drawdown...

    I bought a new build and got a snag list completed by an engineering company. 92 items on it. My query is you have to get a sang list when purchasing a new build so whats the difference between an engineers report and a snag list?? Are they just 2 different titles for the same thing??

    EBS refuses switch claiming new Central Bank rules mean I must stay with BoI a year before switch

    Consumer watchdog would have a field day if above statement was true. Fines galore. Anyone know the deadlines for banks to deal with complaints? I got a written response stating they are looking into complaint but no correspodance in the last 2 weeks.
