    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

Couple of points on the above - In relation to the apartments I think that it takes away from both estates having two blocks in the middle of the development. The one in the middle of HP is an eyesore and given that it sits to the south of some of the development and casts a shadow on the front...

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

Gave up trying with eir and sky (as they use the eir lines). Two weeks of waiting for engineers to check if it would be possible to get either in. Signed up with virgin on Monday and had the box Tuesday, plugged it in and it worked. Should have saved myself two weeks of back and forth

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

The block with the creche (that had previously proposed shops) is the sites beside the school. There is one on the eastern side of the estate that has flown up over the last month. You can see it well from the motorway.

Did anyone get their house cleaned after getting floors down before moving in or even find that the house needed more than a vacuum and dust? Any recommendations?

We had the same clause (a) in DM. We raised it as an issue but were not able to have it removed. Solicitor told us she had never seen a clause like this exercised but it was a risk. It is a sellers market and they have the power at the moment so its a matter of calculating the risk of this...

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

We had a flooring company measure up last week. The guy said doors are put in to fire safety standards not to what works with carpet/tile/wood (makes sense as floorings are a different thickness and you don't want a gap). Most flooring companies will do this (but charge for it)

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

As far as I am aware the objection is on the HP developers side not DM. (makes sense as DM built the wall and installed the gate). Once all of the units in DM are sold and the apartments/creche are finished at the school roundabouts I can't imagine there will be any objections. It will make...

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

There were proposed pedestrian access points in the brochure to the north, one into the school north end of third road in DM , one at the north end of the second road and one directly into the Beaches (west boundary of the estate) . Having been up at the site last week I can't see how the 3rd...

Where is the walkway? Has there been space left in the north boundry wall with HP?

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

As far as I know that is the south east corner of HP. That notice has been up a couple of months. They need to have it up for amendments to previous submissions. Most changes are minor (eg changing 5 type B1 houses to 4 type C1s) but all have to be displayed in case of objection. As far as I...

    New Houses in Diswellstown Castleknock

Have you had issues Clancy10? I'm currently in the process of reviewing contracts etc. couple of small issues where the developer has given themselves as much flexibility as possible but nothing out of the ordinary. Also requesting everything included in the built included in the contract (oven...

No they had been planned in the original application but this was revised to the 119 or so houses that you can see in the brochure. If you look at the google earth view of the site beside a copy of the brochure you can see that there is no more space for any other building on the site.
