    Got My PTSB Offer!

kiffagirl - re why your capital reduces as well as getting a capital reduction is not a blond question at all. each mortgage repayment is a mixture of interest & capital reduction. Higher interest rates mean higher payments - all that is pretty obvious. Less obvious is that the higher the...

    re ptsb paying out

Fail go - had you been on the tracker you're monthly repayment would obviously be lower but at this stage your balance outstanding would actually be lower as well. They are going to set your balance to the lower level (the level it would have been had you been on the correct rate) and give a...

    ptsb redress programme announced

aam_user - I think its just we're on a 'temporary tracker' while we look at the info they send us. we need to formally agree to moving to the tracker rate by signing the docs. obviously depends whether you're happy with the rate offered etc...

PTSB ptsb will tell you over the phone if you are getting a refund

Brendan - yeah, the online system gives an overall summary and tells you total amount due, term to go etc... but more importantly your interest rate and the next payment due. that's been updated to reflect the change to tracker. Lauren - its prob the same payment (end july) - I assumed was...

PTSB ptsb will tell you over the phone if you are getting a refund

hi, my wife looked at our mortgage account online there and it looks like the august payment is going to be on the tracker rate. ecb +1.1%. the very good news for me is that we didn't have a specific number in our signed contract. it did say ECB +1.1% in the draft contract that our solicitor...

Update on ptsb tracker refund programme

hopefully it is weeks but the more I hear now, the more I think the central bank are going to sort this out now for once and for all. This should save at least some of us having to go another few rounds with PTSB via the FSO.

PTSB ptsb withdraws appeal to Supreme Court on trackers; CBI taking enforcement action

yep, big time Matan. My first phonecall to PTSB about this was in 2010....the tone of each reply was so dismissive - I can't wait to hopefully win in the end :)

PTSB ptsb withdraws appeal to Supreme Court on trackers; CBI taking enforcement action

the only comfort I'm taking is that the delay is probably the Central Bank intervening. PTSB were probably trying to get off easy, or compensate half way. Hopefully we now all get a full and final settlement rather than going to the FSO again.

PTSB ptsb withdraws appeal to Supreme Court on trackers; CBI taking enforcement action

hi Phil, thanks for your response and I think I'm in the same boat as you. My letter of offer, all the projections, confirmation letters etc.. says the tracker rate will be ECB +1.1% but my actual signed contract just says the tracker rate available at the time. Did your contract specifically...
