Ulster giving me back my tracker, but changing the contract wording.

Notabene isn't overdoing anything to be fair. She's asking for her original contract to re instated. To be put back in the position she was in prior to the Bank's "error". If it wasn't for people like notabene and her determination this industry wide review would never have happened. I just fear...

Mediation process with the Ombudsman following removal of tracker

My case was under the former Ombudsman 2013/2014 however a number of the same decision makers are still place. At the time I was of the mistaken belief that they were working on behalf of the consumer... How wrong I was and how my family have paid for that...

Mediation process with the Ombudsman following removal of tracker

In my case the bank refused to mediate. The FSO partially upheld my complaint but ultimately did not return my tracker. I believe the FSO worked in favour of the bank.

Some people are wrongly attributing their problems to their loss of their tracker.

What an inappropriate and insensitive thread all round.

Bank of Ireland Update on Bank of Ireland staff who lost trackers

    BOI Tracker

We need the BoI customers to tell their stories. The Bank has been brazen in their abuse to their customers in a very Boucher- esque fashion. Am I right in thinking a lot of those affected are staff.. Is that maybe why people are afraid to tell their stories?

Ulster 05 Oct 2017 10am Ulster Bank Finance Committee Hearing - Live Thread

I’m a BoI impacted customer; another Bank who is getting away with it all... I wonder should all affected customers group together if approaching the CB?

Yes thanks for updating us, although I don’t believe a word BoI say.

    BOI Tracker

My accounts are impacted. I know this cause even the FSO found BOI had wrongfully taken my tracker from me back in 2013... I phoned the "helpline"'the other day and was told if I was impacted I would have been contacted by now. I said I was definitely impacted and was then told oh well we do...

Bank of Ireland before Oireachtas Finance Committee this morning 9.30 am

Phase 2 completed. Did they confirm whether they have contacted all the affected customers? I have not been contacted. I am most certainly affected as confirmed by the fso finding in my case in 2013, yet not a single update from BoI.

Ulster Bank story today Daily Mail

Crazy stuff. @notabene were you able to calculate how much your "refund" of overpayment should have been? And therefore did the payment cover the refund?

Ulster Bank story today Daily Mail

Thanks Brendan. That's what I couldn't understand. I was able to calculate how much we had overpaid... So how much of each of those amounts are refunds and how much is compensation? Two very different things.

Ulster Bank story today Daily Mail

@notabene and @Googsie Great articles. Did the compensation you were awarded include the overpayments you made? Was it a refund plus compensation or pure compensation?

Richard Curran: Time for plain talking about who is to blame for tracker scandal

@Brendan Burgess . On a timeline Brendan this was the first error on our account. If our Tracker had been returned to us at any point when we argued for it from 2008 on then we could have made informed financial decisions. The FSO ruling was that BoI "did act wrongfully, and in breach of duty...

Richard Curran: Time for plain talking about who is to blame for tracker scandal

BoI didn't "cop on" to my mortgage on back of CB intervention in 2010 even though we'd been arguing for the Tracker back since 2008.... so that's one account that they were aware of but choose not to correct...
