    Savings club

Thanks for the replies. I asked in another credit union about group/club savings and they do provide an account to suit us. Only restriction is that the account cannot hold more than €40000.

    Savings club

What kind of compliance issues? The account has a generic name but all members are listed on it and each member has given documentation for proof of address, pps and photo ID. All money is transfered into the account by standing order. Is it possible to open an account with 8 names on it?

    Savings club

A group of us from work have been running a savings club, where we save €20 per week each for a year with payout on the first week of December. As part of this we also do bets on the euromillions lotto and any money won is also put into the account and divided evenly between all members of the...

    Credit card interest charge

Hi, I normally pay off my credit card balance before the payment due date is reached so I don't get charged interest. However, I didn't clear the last balance (May) in full. The bill was for E556.26. I repaid E550. I wasn't sure of the balance at the time but knew it was around the E550. So I...

Only if the C02 emissions are low!!!!!! There are alot of cars out there that have high emissions and therefore have higher VRT rates and higher road tax.

Cost of replacing honda civic timing belt

OH left car at garage around 10am and collected it again around 5pm. Mechanic rang her around 3pm to say it was ready whenever she could collect it. I had her told it would cost around €400 - €500 for the timimg belt and service. We were pleasantly surprised when he said €250. She even asked him...

    vrt valuation

There are a number of other SUV's you could check out. If you log into CARZONE.IE and select "Body Type" from the search menu and then select "SUV" from the next menu you should get a pretty good idea of all the SUV's available and also engine options and weather some have 4x4. Pick a few of...

    vrt valuation

I probably didn't answer your original question in relation to R** O** Ireland but I agree that VRT is a R** O** but we are stuck with it for another while anyway:(!!! I seen that the ROS web site only gives you one version to choose from so maybe you should give your local VRO a ring and see...

    vrt valuation

First off that valuation on the ROS web site seems to be very high considering that the Antara has a starting price of just over €40,000 here, but I can only think that the valuation is based on the higer spec option which has a retail price of around €53,000. However, there are a few key things...

    BMW 3 series back seats

This was only an option on the 3 series and a pretty expensive one too so I would imagine that most 3 series won't have back seats that fold down.

    VRT question

5 door can not be a saloon. You have to put in hatchback or the system will not recognise a 5 door saloon

    VRT query

Would you not be better off going for a 08. The annual road tax will be around €600 for the 07. The 08 should be only €156 (this is likely to increase over the next few years but so will the older rates). It might cost a bit now but if your saving over €400 a year on road tax it might be worth...

    Vrt

You must have owned the car for at least 6 months in the UK prior to returning to Ireland. If you bought the car in December 08 and are returning to Ireland before June 09 then yes you will have to pay VRT. There are other terms and conditions that need to be met also. try the link below for...

    Car Tax Amount???

Re: Car Tax Ammount??? The car has to be first registered after 1st Jan 2008 in its country of origin (in this case UK) to qualify for the lower motor tax. VRT is charged on the C02 emissions of the car regardless of age but motor tax is charged on the old CC system on cars registered before...
