What is the longest lasting white pan loaf and how best to keep it fresh

I read somewhere that if you store your bread in the microwave it keeps fresher longer as its in an airtight environment. You'd need to make sure your microwave was clean inside though!

NIB FreeBank current account - charged fees?

The same thing happened with my Freebank account last week. I was charged about 40quid in fees and I haven't been overdrawn. I queried it and they refunded the charges to my account. No explanation of why they were deducted in the first place.

    greenfly

I have been using some organic spray I got out of Woodies as they have been attacking my strawberry plants as well and I don't want to use any chemicals. Unfortunately, while it kills the greenfly, they reappear pretty quickly. I've been spraying leaves front and back - I suppose I'll just...

    greenfly

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm trying to source some ladybirds at the moment in and around Dublin. I see Mr Middleton's shop does them but they aren't available for another month or so and my greenfly problem is driving me nuts. Does anybody know if any garden centres/shops that...

Black Mould appearing on North facing wall

I bought a bottle of HG Mould Spray in Woodies a few weeks ago. It was around 15 quid for a half litre spray and its brilliant for spraying along the areas affected by mould - it has a strong bleach smell from it but when you spray it on it will eat away at the mould on paintwork, silicion etc...

I don't think it is a good idea to publish details on the internet regarding security issues. Anybody can read this site.

I wouldn't have concerns about safety walking through Kilcross. There are a lot of young professional couples moved into the estate and I've never heard of any trouble. Unfortunately council estates tend to get tarnished with the same brush.

"Roaming"!? Are we talking about animals here?! I don't think this is a fair comment to make. A lot of people who walk to the Luas from Rockview/Sandyford View go through Kilcross estate to take a short cut. If you propose that people from Kilcross can't enter our development then by the same...

Water Pump knackered, will the developer pay??

We moved into a new development about a month ago- in the last week our water pump has started to come on every few minutes and runs for about 5 seconds. Do u think this would be a leak in our water system Steelblue? We haven't noticed anything leaking recently. EDIT - I just did a search and...

For people heading in and out of Rockview, it may be safer driving in and out of the entrance at Ticknock Hill when it opens up. I can't see them putting in any more parking spaces. There's nowhere else to put them!

If you want to cancel your Clearwire account during the contract period I think it costs about €120. So if your service is crap and you aren't happy its going to be expensive to cancel the contract. That's what put me off. Magnet told me broadband would be available from the end of July...

Yeah i'd say you'd get it in most hardware shops alright. I'm heading out there shortly so I'll try to get the cover off and see what exactly is needed. The skirting is stuck on so we are getting beading for the wooden floor also.

Our fan is working without a bulb - so sounds like there's a problem with your fan. Looking at the shape of the light cover I suspect that one of the special M shaped bulbs will be needed - I had to buy one of these for a bathroom in an apartment before. They are about €15 I think.

If your gas is working ok then the meter has already been unlocked. Did you get Cathal to arrange for somebody to turn on the boiler and demonstrate how it works? I'm afraid to pull at the bathroom light cover too much in case the whole thing comes off the ceiling! If you switch the bathroom...

There is a switch above the bathroom door before you go in where you can turn the fan off/on - this is in addition to the light switch which also turns it on. The switch is a bit bigger than normal switches so you should be able to find it ok. My arms are covered in bruises today from moving...
