AH and selling above purchase price

AH and selling above purchase price

That is correct not_near_it. If the market value drops you give the council the lot. No percentage calculation involved. You should sell the house at what you got it for. No benefit for you in trying to get a higher price. All your doing is giving the muppets in the council who implemented this...

    Shared ownership online campaign

Brendan, Are you certain your post above is factual. I have been repaying my "rent" to Cork CC for the past 10 years and the rental portion of my mortgage has not decreased. I have had correspondence with the council who have informed me that the lump sum will remain even after my mortgage on...

Dail debates - 23/10/12 Written Answers Nos. 433-442 (shared ownership)

Brendan, The big item I would like to see in the legislation change is the removal of the primary place of residence clause thus enabling me to rent out my house. However I won't hold my breath.

    remortgage possible with affordable housing?

Cheeus, I think there is a bit of confusion with the two options here. If you remortgage you do not trigger the clawback as you are still the owner of the house. All that changes is your lending provider. The clawback is triggered only if you sell your house. The deeds have to be signed...
