Key Post Making a claim for personal injuries through the Injuries Board (PIAB)

I heard recently the Injuries Board will accept the required medical report from a physiotherapist. So, there's scope to skip the doctor, self refer to the physio and, presumably after a treatment course, have the physio complete the medical assessment report. Is there a downside to this approach?

Are children with Medical Card not covered for dental visits?

Re: Dunno- Got conflicting answers myself recently... What did she say over the 'phone the first time when explained you had medical card and therefore, why did you need to explain it a second time? Or, did you you just mention your GMS card post-treatment in the expectation that you would...

Legal Aid - How come somebody with a good job qualifies

Nope - I didn't rush to judge! I am guessing that he is on a grade at least equivalent to an Administrative Officer/HEO and therefore on €60K - good money and therefore a good job in my book. Maybe not good money to you. Exactly my thoughts and where I was coming from! I didn't expect for the...

    Street Lights

I spoke to the lighting section in my local county council and they told me that sometimes it is possible to take lighting in-charge before the big taking-in-charge. It might be worthwhile to get a local councillor on the case as they will be looking for votes soon.

    Car accident,help!

I stand to be corrected but I don't think you can claim for your own injuries anyway. I imagine not wearing your seat belt will no impact on the claim. Do the insurance company even know that you didn't wear your seatbelt? Presumably, they see this as an accidental damage claim and see it no...

Open GBP deposit account or convert to Euro and invest

I have a cheque of £46,000 (GBP) on the way to me following the sale of some Standard Life Plc shares. Sold 16,571 shares @ £2.80 but I am just about breaking even because I bought them when there was 66 pence to the Euro as opposed to 88 pence now. I've contacted Investec and I seem to have...

    Investec Bank?

I would imagine it is safe enough. I would be just more worried that the bank mess up and there is a delay in it hitting your account. Is there anyway you could get a cheque or draft to them? They are definitely closing this offer tomorrow. They've given me the same info by e-mail.

Diverting Mobile Phone to another number

Nope. According to it is only possible to divert to voice-mail on Speakeasy and even then , that can only be done by Customer Services. Not great when you consider what seems sto be possible on Vodafone's website.

Diverting Mobile Phone to another number

Thanks for the reply soy but this is not something that can be done on the device using menus or GSM codes. Changing diverts for Speakeasy phones has been disabled/not enabled by O2 at a network level. If you try it using the Call Settings menu or GSM codes (on a Nokia or any other phone) you...

I'm with o2 prepay/Speakeasy but can't change the divert types or the divert number. The only option is to totally cancel all diverts to voicemail and this must be done through customer services. Does anybody know if it is possible to change the divert options and the number with Vodafone...
