Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

Yes and no. They expressly refuse to open a second ac in the same name. They say you may close the first ac, and open another as a "new customer" in the same name which is rather silly, but that's the way. I requested the ac closure and the closure was confirmed. Then I did the online...

Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

Update on this, for anyone with same concerns... after a great deal of obstacles, non-reponse etc. they have yielded to repeated persistence and finally opened the "new account" for me. The interest is 3.97% compared to 1.6% on the original account. It does seem daft to have to close one and...

Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

After a month they finally replied to me, saying I could close my ac and open a (new) account to get the "new customer" interest. Daft by any standard, and no small hassle, but did it anyway... now it's nearly two wks since the new account application and no word from them. It's like the Fawlty...

Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

Indeed, I do agree with you 100%, and like you, I also looked closely at this wording and relied specifically on their "from the very first euro" statement. They had refused to augment the 1.6% rate, and simply ignored requests about closing and opening a "new customer account, so I moved out a...

Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

Can I point out an error on your Instant Access & Notice Deposit Accounts page, about the interest on the Advanzia ac. Interest actually is paid only on funds of €5,000 or more, and not on €1+ as stated on your page, and which I relied on! Below €5k, the interest paid is ZERO, as I discovered...

Trade Republic paying 4% on deposits up to €50,000

It is surprising to have this issue. TR is pretty much excellent in this regard in my experience. I have moved funds smoothly, both in and out, between TR and my (AIB) deposit ac. Within the App I can xfer up to 10k max on any one day. And in a branch, using the paper form, I can transfer 50k...

Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

Well I queried them early Jan, asking could I get the "new customer" interest rate by opening a new ac. It was 21 days later that I received a reply, yes three weeks. Nor did they answer the question, just repeated that the rate was 1.6%. Which I obvs knew already. Reiterated the query, so I...

Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

Interesting. And strange too. This bank operates in decidedly capricious, unpredictable ways... I also have received no such email, funds remain on deposit, 3.?% rate expired by now, 1.6% rate now applying. Not only that but near ten days now with NO RESPONSE whatever to email to them asking...

Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

Shouldn't be too difficult to find out ... eg, by filling out the account opening formulaire, it should reveal whether a second ac (with the new interest rate) can be opened or not

Trade Republic paying 4% on deposits up to €50,000

Who on earth would take on this amount of hassle for what, 30 quid? What's so important to TR to get these extra funds by 31st Dec? Isn't that the date that foreign banks report customers' deposit balances to Revenue? Just saying .

Trade Republic paying 4% on deposits up to €50,000

It's not completely true... You can transfer in FROM as many different banks as you like. You can withdraw (transfer out) ONLY to the most recent account you lodged form, ie that's your "reference ac" (and yes there's only one, unlike LY which allows withdrawal to any bank you lodged from). In...

    Advice on Advanzia

Also you have to wait I think 4 days before you can successfully activate the registration for the online banking. Until then you get "ID invalid or unknown", it's rather clunky and unfriendly by today's standards.

Has BFF left the Raisin platform?

In applying to open BFF ac the bank's country is shown as SFF, but what does SFF mean? it's not Italy, not Spain, nor any other country... SFF?

Advanzia Bank Lux Paying 3.97% AER Instant Access for First 3 Months

When did you open the ac? You have to wait two days before you can access the online banking. Until then you get the above error, but my experience was that after the two days it worked OK- albeit far from user friendly, possibly the worst designed UI you will ever see.
