Key Post Bitcoin is a clearly identifiable economic bubble

So basically cyptos are super bad, except for the ones that Central Banks are copying and pasting.

Key Post Bitcoin is a clearly identifiable economic bubble

Honestly the very 1st sentence of his conclusion is false. "Conclusion To conclude, crypto-assets have been promoted as decentralised alternatives promising more resilient financial services" I'd say surviving all the attacks on crypto by regulators, governments and bad actors, shows the...

Would buying unallocated gold from the Australian Perth mint be any better then buying solid gold bars?

Why the Perth mint? Seems like poor timing. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11825737/Perth-Mint-sold-doped-gold-China-allegedly-tried-cover-up.html

    Silicon Valley Bank collapse

I don't expect inflation to fall when the US is haranguing the EU for sanctions against China. The worlds largest manufacturer. Prices are going to go up.

Private tenancies fell by 22k (7%) in 2021 (probably)

Cabinet approves new short-term let register aiming to bring 12,000 properties back into use A NEW SHORT-TERM let register has been approved by the government with expectations that it could bring some 12,000 properties back into long-term use. At the time of writing according to Inside Airbnb...

Private tenancies fell by 22k (7%) in 2021 (probably)

Shouldn't the number of properties available only for short-term lets be factored into this? I'd say there are many LL's that have abandoned the long term rental market and moved over to AirBnB.

    Russian Foreign Policy

nora mentions 90 day reserves, personally i think this should be quadrupled.

We should also look into establishing a strategic reserve / stock piling of fossilized fuels, similar to what the US does with oil.

Key Post Bitcoin is a clearly identifiable economic bubble

I cashed out some of my holdings and bought a house with it. I don't accumulate anymore, just waiting for the price to reach my next exit. I don't usually visit bitcoin threads much anymore because i don't actually care what anybody else thinks of it.

House purchase - getting snagged up on Land Registry issue

Too early to buckle and pay for this myself when it should be done by the seller.

House purchase - getting snagged up on Land Registry issue

They basically said it's too early to do that yet as it's the seller's responsibility. But it sounds like we can do it ourselves if the seller keeps refusing.

House purchase - getting snagged up on Land Registry issue

It wasn't a helpful answer because it was a snarky reply. Anyway, i see that other buyers sometimes have to get the Declaration of Identity.

House purchase - getting snagged up on Land Registry issue

That's not a particularly helpful answer.

House purchase - getting snagged up on Land Registry issue

Our solicitor is basically insisting the seller gets a Declaration of Identity, while the seller is refusing. Hereto we are just taking our solicitor's advice to demand this and let them run with it. Maybe the seller is concerned that the sliver of land issue will be a problem if he gets a...

RichInSpirit no there's no pathway between back gardens in this area.

House purchase - getting snagged up on Land Registry issue

Ravima, no it's not exactly known. But the solicitor says it's a thin strip, the grassed area is not a thin strip. It's likely an error when records were digitized. It seems impossible to get Land Registry office to move faster than a snails pace, one that is suffering from lethargy.

House purchase - getting snagged up on Land Registry issue

Not known how thin the strip is. Got our solicitor to clarify that yes, we should get a Declaration of Identity from vendor and if they refuse than do our own survey.

House purchase - getting snagged up on Land Registry issue

This should have been a straight forward no mortgage purchase but it's been snagged up now on a Land Registry issue. I am largely uninformed about Folios and stuff like that so thought i'd get some opinions. It's a small stone house built in mid 1800's, on a row. It's got a kind of a long back...

IRL domiciled, working for US based company

Thanks, this is the answer: you will more than likely need to set up a company or go in under an umbrella structure and pay PAYE, PRSI etc that way. I would suggest contacting one of the contracting agencies in Ireland who might be able to help advise. All that nonsense that the US company...
