    I have a pump for the firebird back boiler that was renewed 2 years ago. It has not been used for nearly a year and a half. Is there a chance that the pump could be seized up because fire has not been lit in that time or is there a way it can be checked without lighting the fire?

    We have light rain coming into our solid fuel open fire grate depending on the way the wind is blowing. Can we put a china man's cowl on the chimney stack and still light a fire? Any advice appreciated.

    If possible from listening to members of my family (males) the best place to position a fan in the bathroom is in the window. How that is done I do not know but it works.
