My wife picked up a Huawei Ascend and for a non techie gets great suage from it and found it so easy to use. It's a low end of the scale Smartphone. There's a fairly large thread on boards about it.

As far as i know it was a full months rent, it was over €500 so hardly a holding deposit.

Thanks, not sure what I'll be looking for, this is still early days. I'd love the iPad but doubt I have the budget for it, may even hold off until I can afford it. I may also have to upgrade my laptop so not certain I can got for both. At the moment if I go with upgrading my latop thenmy budget...

Is there a USB connection on the tablets? From looking at some photos I think there isn't, if I'm correct then how would I transfer photos from my camera to the tablet?

Thanks. I dont want it to replace my laptop but I'd like to able to use it instead of my laptop at times, especially use it when travelling, when out taking photos or bringing it to work. Can I store/view photos taken with a camera on it? Does it have a harddrive?

If you use Aertel on your TV you won't have that available on the HD as you're now being connected through the HDMI cable. Also, this is stating the obvious but you'll lose everything that you have Sky+ed on your current box.

You'll have to get eirocm to provide the line, even if you go with with another provider it's eircom that will provide the network. There's no certainty that the telephone line will support broadband.

Whatever about storing them online make sure you back them up on an external hard drive.
