Thanks, that's exactly what I needed to know. We received 2 x refunds so I was concerned that they needed to take the payments from 2 bank accounts also. Much appreciated

Pay and File - bank account question

Hi, married couple jointly assessed, have to submit Form 11 for 2017 by 14 November. We have always previously received a refund, husband directly into bank account and wife by cheque from revenue as RDI not set up. However, for 2017, we have to pay tax. Will all the tax payable come by RDI from...

    Company directors pension scheme

Where though would this information be picked up and approved and / or challenged ? (I mean for pensions excluding Self-Administered pensions). If a company makes a contribution to a directors pension scheme, this is only included a a line in the Corporation Tax return and as one line in the...

    Company directors pension scheme

Are these restrictions only in respect of a Self Administered Pension Scheme ? Do they equally apply to a pension whereby the company makes contributions on behalf of the directors ie the directors don't contribute themselves.

Directors of smal companies should not be obliged to disclose their remuneration

Thanks for fixing my post. So what are the practical implications of ignoring these requirements I wonder. Particularly since they are blatantly unfair and will probably be ruled as such by the data protection crowd.

Directors of smal companies should not be obliged to disclose their remuneration

Just wondering if anyone has come up against this yet - the 2014 companies acts are requiring notes to the financial statements detailing directors pay - even for small companies - is this absolutely necessary ? is this not a complete invasion of privacy for all the small businesses around the...

    Employee Tax Credit

The Revenue person I spoke with checked twice as I kept telling her she was wrong and she refused to allocate the credit for 2016. And she said I wasn't entitled to it for 2017. The earned income credit is for a lesser amount though so I should still have unused part for 2016. Dont know what to...

    Employee Tax Credit

Hi, My husband and I have a company, he owns 100% of the capital and I own none. As the spouse of a propriety director I am not entitled to claim the employee tax credit. But I have been offered a part time role in a totally separate organisation where I will be an employee. I thought I would be...

    B1 -Directors remuneration

I filed the B1 through core and elected to annex documents as per Co's Acts 1963 to 2013. The company's year end was March 2015. I'm assuming this means I don't have to disclose this time - as the new 2014 Act only applies for years ending after June 2015. Am I correct ?

    B1 -Directors remuneration

yes. That's exactly what I'm enquiring about. For all the SMEs with two directors, is this not an incredible invasion of privacy?

    B1 -Directors remuneration

Hi I'm reading the information leaflet for filing a B1. It says that Directors Remuneration has to be disclosed ? Does this apply to a small company - do I actually have to include the directors names and salary for the year ?

Hi, I am completing my Form 11 for 2014. I am a Vodafone shareholder (original Eircom s/holder) - do I have to include details of the 2014 sale even though I have made a capital loss & don't have a cgt liability ? Also, if I am filing through ROS does the extended deadline to 13 Nov apply to...

The self-employed get fantastic value from PRSI

The current pension paid is high. However, given the ageing population, future ratio of workers to non workers, I think/know the pension rates will be significantly less. So, the fund value does not apply to people aged, say below 45 years.

Key Post Revenue crackdown on contractors' expenses - what should a contractor do now?

Thanks for that fearbeag. I wasn't aware the project had officially ended - I have read some articles about this being "Phase 1" - so am wondering what's coming next. Regarding my specific situation, yes the amounts claimed were very small but as the revenue stance is to consider everything...

Key Post Revenue crackdown on contractors' expenses - what should a contractor do now?

I would appreciate an opinion on this one please .... If expenses were previously claimed and now based on the revenue clarification cannot (specifically travel from home) ....would the zero amount, where there had always been a small amount charged, raise a flag to the revenue? I want to be...
