    Taxi or bus to airport

I wouldn't chance it. If the bus or train is delayed for even a few mins it could mean you miss your flight. Come up to Dublin the night before and stay in a hotel near the airport or if you must come up by train on the day get a taxi. The extra cost will be worth it in terms of stress/missed...

Neighbour for the birds! Wants me to get rid of nest

You should leave the nest alone for the next 2 - 3 months as the birds are probably nesting and it takes about 7 - 8 weeks for the babies to fly the nest. I would say let the birds have the chimney for the rest of the summer (please God you won't need to light a fire this summer!) then when the...

Myself and my boyfriend went on a trip to Hong Kong and Beijing about 2 years ago with the Travel Dept. We found it to be a fantastic experience and we would definitely recommend it to others. The hotels (Hong Kong Harbour Plaza and Presidential Plaza in Beijing) in both cities were amazing...

Tax credits reduced after claiming Jobseekers Benefit?

If the credits and rate band have been reduced then they were not high enough to cover the JB. If the credits and rate band could cover the JB then a cummulative cert would have been issued.

Tax credits reduced after claiming Jobseekers Benefit?

Week 1/Month 1 basis can be applied where there is a large gap in employments and it is unclear if the person has had any other sources of income that year (among other situations). If you have a gap and you inform Revenue you were in receipt of DSFA income during that gap, it is coded in...

Tax credits reduced after claiming Jobseekers Benefit?

Hi Ruth, The standard single person's weekly credit is just over €70. Your credits have been reduced as Jobseekers is a taxeable source of income, so now that you're working again you have to pay 20% of it back. Hope this helps.
