Should Sellers Pay For Purchasers Snag List Requirements?

As a potential buyer in a buyers market I would ask and expect to receive certain conditions on the contract - they are obviously looking for 4K off the price and its up to you to now either do that or risk the sale falling through

Tenant not allowing property to be shown.

The tenant must allow the property to be inspected and shown, its your property not theirs! Do you have a lease agreement with them or is it part 4 tenancy?

Co-habiting, mortgage in my name, break up, need help..

He cannot stay, he's effectively a "tenant" and you can get rid. He will be entitled to what he has contributed towards the mortgage if he can prove this and half of any purchases for the house. As for bills, he's out of pocket there.

    Motor Insurance settlement

What the van was insured for is irrelevant. If you feel they have undervalued the van then you need to do a little research into similar vans and what they are actually selling for, not just the price advertised. Then go back to the insurer with these prices - most will bargain

Car insurance: Renewing elsewhere while claim outstanding?

mathpac: I have informed my insurance company of the situation when I suspended the policy. I sold the car and they are aware of this, the insurance is continuing in the interim suspended until I purchase a new car. Ailbhe: thats my understanding too, but I'm wondering if I continue with this...

Car insurance: Renewing elsewhere while claim outstanding?

Sorry to reopen this thread and to hijack but I am in a similar situation, sort of. I have an outstanding PI claim against me. The accident happened in May and I have since had to sell my car. I now don't have a car but am still paying my insurance monthly since renewal in July. Reason being -...

Lots of viewings but no offers!

I know as someone that has seen a lot of places that most of the houses we viewed never sold but were taken off the market. I suppose if you can afford to stay put and live comfortably then it might be best to do so - I know its tempting when you see houses that would have previously been out of...

Lots of viewings but no offers!

Its a buyers market and being realistic about it the ball is no way in your court anymore as a seller. You got an offer of €5K less than what you wanted and you rejected it? Seriously? We are currently looking at buying and would not consider offering anywhere near the asking price - most houses...

    Denied Loan

Why is a limit of €1100 on your CC restrictive now that you are working? Surely if you cant even afford to pay off this balance then a higher limit is only going to get you into debt. Its not free money, you have to pay it back - I'd start by clearing your CC balance completely and then remember...

Involved in Motor accident_Making a claim

You are defrauding the person who's policy you are going to be claiming off - they will suffer financially because of your fraudulent claim, someone has to pay! And more to the point, people claiming false PI's push up insurance prices for everyone. So you are justifying your making a claim...

Involved in Motor accident_Making a claim

No wonder insurance is so costly in Ireland with people like you around! So you're not going to get what you feel you deserve for your car so you're going to defraud some individual just to be "fair"!!!!

    Renting, pregnant and heat broken!

I am having similar issue at the mo and you need to take a couple of steps: 1. You need to inform the LL and agency of the problem in writing i.e. a posted letter. Email, text or phone will not suffice. We sent a registered letter to ensure it got there! 2. You need to allow them sufficient...

been approved mortgage; Negotation strategy for 4 bed in the Dublin 15 area new Semi

Re: been approved mortgage; Negotation strategy for 4 bed in the Dublin 15 area new S Although the house is priced at 305K it is only actually worth what you will pay for it. I would consider starting around €220K. If the house has been on the market for some time then they may be happy to take...

Can I break lease due to problem neighbours?

She has 2 options: 1) Break the lease and be liable for the remaining rent and forfeiting her deposit 2) Ask the LL to let her sublet the lease and if he/she refuses then she is entitled to give a months notice and receive her deposit back. I know noisy neighbours are a pain but I would...
