Just remove the plates when they're not appropriate.

Why should I have to pay for someone else's high speed broadband?

Sort of like the way rural dwellers with wells, group water schemes or septic tanks currently pay for water facilities for town and city dwellers through taxation.

Do you still get your mortgage-related mail (statement, rate changes etc.) sent to the rented house?

Mobile use in cars down after Garda crackdown ????

I find it amusing that the guards occasionally decide to uphold one particular law. Should their not be a permanent crackdown on illegal things like mobile phone use while driving?

Will BOI extender their Tracker Mortgage offer to the full term?

As a holder of a BOI tracker, I would consider moving if it was +1% for the lifetime but there's no way I'd consider the five year only deal.

    Third Mortgage?

Try EBS. My own situation wouldn't be that far away from yours and they have given me approval for a loan. AIB (owners of EBS) laughed me out of the building based on the same figures.

    UK licence-holder driving Ireland

Insurance companies in the republic will insure you if you have a UK license(NI or British, they are not quite the same). You don't need a license to buy a car afaik.

Appropriate approach to someone driving at 90kph in the middle lane of the Naas Rd?

You're getting the emphasis wrong. They say that you MAY move out to accommodate merging traffic, not that you must move out regardless. Being in the left lane approaching a merge is usually perfectly fine.

Appropriate approach to someone driving at 90kph in the middle lane of the Naas Rd?

I disagree. If everyone drove in the leftmost lane and moved out to overtake slower vehicles, our motorways would move much more efficiently.

I want to buy a property, how can I do it?

I would appreciate some opinions on my situation. My OH and I own a 3 bed, now worth under 100k going by recent sales in the area. It's in a nice enough estate and would rent out readily enough for maybe 600pcm. The mortgage is a tracker with BOI, ECB + 1%. Currently this means €1200 pcm...

    Asda/ Ikea belfast

Assuming you're coming up the A1/M1, the store on the Falls would be the most convenient, either on the way or on the way back from Ikea. Shore Road is on the opposite side of Belfast Lough from Ikea.

Where to buy Calgel (baby teething gel) in Dublin

Calgel is a licensed UK medicine without an Irish product authorization from the IMB. As such, it cannot legally be sold in the republic. Medijel is a suitable alternative. It is a similar local anesthetic gel.

Accident on roundabout, trying to figure out who is in the wrong

That's good to hear. I was in a similar situation in the past where I had to brake sharply to avoid colliding with a driver using the wrong lane on a roundabout. I thought I would have been found in favor of but you never can tell.
