20m for children living outside the country

It has not been a one way street. The value of fish taken from what was once our national waters by our EU partners is greater than the value of all the EU benefits which have been received by Ireland. We did not come to the table empty handed.

    Public Transport at Christmas

My apologies Caveat, I should have phrased that ‘good job you did for me’. Over the course of a year I do a 30 mile + roundtrip commute, 5 days a week for roughly 48 weeks, I was late for work twice and that was because of bridge strikes. That constitutes a ‘good job’ in my book. So well done CIE.

    Who remembers the 80's?

I do, with me Da in massive scrums outside Gardiner Street Exchange to get the ‘labour’ . Brian Lenihan telling us ‘it’s a small island, we all can’t live on it.’ So I took his advice and spent 10 years in America, it was the making of me.

    Unlevel concrete floor nightmare!

Flicking through the HSS catalog I see they rent out a high speed Grinder that uses big Diamond discs to level out high spots, it looks like a big floor sander but it has an 11hp petrol motor. Catalog item no. 452. No affiliation with HSS ,I just rent a lot of gear from them.

    Guilty Pleasures?

A midweek lunch, on my own with a glass of Chardonnay. A mid afternoon nap. Spending money that really should have been spent on ‘the house’ on a nice piece of art. Totally frivolous, but puts a guilty smile on my face every time I see it. Yawn , time for a snooze.

Can anyone recommend an 'essential' toolkit for occasional DIY?

A roll of 100 mile an hour tape aka Duck(Duct) Tape, the perfect partner for WD40. Use WD40 when it is supposed to move and it won't, use Duck tape when it moves and it’s not supposed to..... ;-)
