Re: SCS Society of Chartered Surveyors APC Assessment of Professional Competence Pro Do you have a link, cant seem to find it? They've changed the layout of the website. I do know some chartered surveyors but regular meetings and general guidance require time and effort which comes at a...

SCS Society of Chartered Surveyors APC Assessment of Professional Competence Process

Does anyone have any details of companies/individuals who will act as a mentor through the APC process for the SCS (Society of Chartered Surveyors)? It would normally be the employer paying the fees and acting in this role, but say if someone wanted to take it upon themselves to get chartered...

    Halifax reducing deposit rate

You could be right but my understanding of that would be that you have 30 days from the date of opening the account to lodge your once-off lump sum into the account as opposed to having 30 days to make as many lodgements as you like.

    NTL Channels Disappearing

I've recently lost BBC2, Channel 4 & E4 on all but 1 TV in my house. I remember seeing a letter from NTL on how to tune these back in but can't find the letter now :o. Does anyone know how I can get these channels back as I can't find them on the scanning function?

First Active Reg Sav Anyone got interest

I don't know the exact date the rate dropped but you can rest assured that 23% DIRT was deducted from the January interest payment. Fair play to you if can come to a calculated conclusion though.

    23% dirt

What do you mean this is how it has always worked? Anglo online accounts show gross and net interest earned and update this daily. Any account where interest is accrued daily, whether shown on the online account or not, should be calculated in the same way. Just because the interest is paid...

Will I lose interest accrued if I move from Rabo now?

I would imagine interest is paid at the end of the year OR on closing the account if done before the end of the year. Best to ring them to confirm though.

First Active Money Market Deposit - 6.34% AER

No, you can request it automatically be transferred into the Instant Access account which has to be opened initially. Alternatively you can request that the funds be put into whatever Money Market account is available at the time and at the current interest rates at that time.

First Active Money Market Deposit - 6.34% AER

Yeah it seems good. The term "Money Market" makes it sound risky to me, although is does say "fixed rate guaranteed return". I enquired about setting up the account and was told I have to firstly set up an Instant Access Account with whatever funds I intend putting on deposit and the funds are...

    Degree Qualified - Pay Rise?

Think about what you're saying. I was employed on the basis that I would work 4 days a week, therefore my salary was calculated accordingly. In fact, I did 25% EXTRA time during the summer months where I worked 5 days instead of 4! You think that paying fees and working 4 days isn't taking into...

No I'm not chartered (Society of Chartered Surveyors). That's a 2 year process which I may or may not undertake.

    Degree Qualified - Pay Rise?

Thanks for the replies. I'm working as a Quantity Surveyor. I see it like this.....for the past 2 years I've been working 4 days a week (1 full day and 1 evening in college per week), except during summer time where I worked the 5 days. Now, I'm degree qualified and and more of a "full time"...

    Degree Qualified - Pay Rise?

I've just receieved my final year results so next step is graduation. I was just wondering is it normal to expect a significant pay rise now that I am actually qualified. I've been working full-time for the past 2 years while finishing my degree part-time. Would this be purely at the discretion...
