No Brendan, mine is the tracker rate at time of drawdown was ecb +1.1% but I got discount rate of ecb +. 99% for 2 years. On expiry of discount instead of reverting to original rate at that time I was put on the current rate which was ecb +2.25%
Hi Brendan,
I am with Padric Kissane and he is looking after my affairs on this and I got an email to say it is now been submitted in the last couple of weeks.
My PTSB discounted tracker complaint has now been registered with the FSPO. Let's see what happens. I will keep you updated with any updates as the process continues.
I agree with you on the consistency part. I am with PK so as you say he may be able to new argument that the ombudsman hasn't considered. We live in hope but as I say feel very deflated.
Very deflated. Does this decision mean all others in the same boat are dead in the water? I know PK is submitting my case along with others so might have a stronger case than this one but is it to late now?
I'm wondering if this a little different to the ptsb discounted tracker rate? Although I fear its not. In my case I got a tracker in 2007 which at the time would have been ecb+1.10 but was given a 2 year discount which amounted to ecb+. 99%. On expiry of the discount instead of going back to the...
Marsding on the radio this morning was saying for now he does not expect any further cases. I suppose he needs to say that for the markets. I hope he'll be in for a shock soon
I see Jeremy Masding has announced he is leaving PTSB. It makes me sick to see comments from that Bank that he did a fantasdtic job while in the position for 8 years. He is one of the main reason why we are still fighting our discoutn tracker cases. I'm sure he'll get a lovely payoff all the same...
Interesting article. Same boat as I am in although mine was a 2 year discounted tracker. At least it's still in the public eye. https://m.independent.ie/business/personal-finance/property-mortgages/tracker-ripoff-cost-me-40000-and-bank-hasnt-seen-last-of-me-38169208.html
Thanks for the reminder. I won't be able to view it but any updates o nthe site will be greatly appreciated however I'm near certain there will be no change in their position regarding the discounted trackers
While I am very disappointed that the Central Bank did not agree that the PTSB discount trackers were not part of the redress I am hoping that the FSO finds in our favour and the figure put out by the central bank rises even further!
@WhiteCoat I received a letter from Padric's office saying he is progressing the cases that were not deemed impacted by the CB investigation that he believes should have been deemed impacted. A member of his team is to get in touch with us over the next few weeks to update us on this.
Got an email from Padric Kissane office. Padric met with Ger Deering mid December and
will be progressing mycase to the FSPO in the new year, following receipt of the final response letter .
I went through Padric Kissane's office on this initially and I know that after the Central Bank's finding he said he's be in contact about the next steps we might be able to carry out. As of yet I haven't got any news from his office. Anybody else in the same boat? I'm just concerned for the...
