I've owned my home for 30 years and today received a letter for the previous owner/tenant from the Collector General's Division. I've received Revenue letters in the past for this person and have returned them (obviously unopened), marked "not known at this address". It's making me anxious...
I've been trying to get through to the CU to see what will happen if he doesn't withdraw by 30th April. but the phone isn't being answered.
Considering he's 80 and "cocooning", I wonder how they expect him to get to the branch to withdraw this money.
My 80 year old father got a letter yesterday telling him he has to withdraw his shares by 30th April to bring the balance down to €20k. His current balance is approx €33k.
I’ve just tried to complete the 2019 tax return for myself and my husband. All my info is there but when I got to his section it said, “no income on record”. He works for HSE.
My husband & I are jointly assessed. He has all the personal credits (€3,300). We both work in public sector. Up to Feb 2018 I was working p/t earning €20,000. He earns €33,00. I now work f/t and earn €45,000. Should we make any change to the personal tax credits or does it matter when we’re...

As a parent of teenagers I couldn't agree more! ;) Thankfully we're within walking distance of anywhere they want to go in Ballincollig. Now when it comes to ferrying them to parties in "The Bish", "Aunties" etc...
Totally agree. Ballincollig is a lovely place to live with a great selection of shops, restaurants, schools, cinema. The gorgeous Oriel house has a leisure centre that includes toddlers swimming classes. Supernova play centre is great for a rainy day and the beautiful Regional Park, with it's...
I have a friend who lives on Cathedral Road who had difficulty getting flood insurance - we're all in trouble if the Lee rises enough to flood his house!
Back to Fionn Laoi... as I said, I live close by. I've never been refused flood insurance. Currently with Allianz. Previously with RSA. I've...
